This morning our team was officially launched at all three services at Chantilly Bible Church. It was really humbling and wonderful to be prayed for by the entire congregation, and for all of the kind words and encouragement from so many of you. Thank you so much for your generousity towards our team, financially and spiritually.
We are all having last minute discussions... Do we pack that bathing suit (it's 58 degrees in Belgium today!)? What's up with the ash cloud today? Oh no, a teammate's friend from Paris was rerouted through Spain to get here Friday because of the ash cloud. The same flight we will be taking this coming Thursday blew a landing gear tire on take off this past Friday... they had to circle DC for 3 hours before they could land for repairs! The excitement is building.
Be praying for us:

Be praying for us:
- We're meeting at the airport on Thursday at 3pm, the flight leaves at 6pm. That volcano in Iceland continues to ensure we hold our travel plans loosely.
- We need to plan our packing well to ensure none of us go over the 50lb limit on our one bag. And we're bringing picnic supplies, hostess gifts, bible study supplies, etc.
- We are all leaving family at home. Pray the ones we leave behind are abundantly supplied with grace, mercy, love, laughter... and just the right amount of missing us as we will them.
- Our plans for the 11 days continue to change almost daily. Pray we will be flexible, loving and of one Spirit, one mind and one purpose while there.
- Pray for our hosts. We are all spread out over 4 different homes (at least that was what I last heard). We pray that our gracious hosts will be given back 10 fold all of the finances, food, time and entertainment they are giving to house us.
- Pray for safety while we are working on the church. I personally am not an overly handy person. And I'm not 22 years old anymore... things like backs don't recover like they once did.
- Pray for the weather. We can't paint the outside of the church if it is raining. And it would probably put a damper on the BBQ too.
- Pray for open hearts to hear God's Word while we are there for all who are teaching and sharing
- Pray that we will see the people not the projects, in the midst of the projects!
- Pray for relationships to be built in Christ that transcend culture and language.
Thank you to all of you keeping up with this and praying for us. We are relying on those prayers more than I can express to you. We know that we go in the provision of God and the body of Christ, and that will make all the difference.

It's just after 3 pm on departure day! Praying for safe travel (and no ash cloud) as your team gathers.
Love,
Ken & Jen
